When employees have choices, they stay with the employers who look after them.
Most employers don't know the answers to these questions - after all, they are extremely personal. Here's the catch: most of your employees don't know the answer either. Few have any idea what a hospital stay could cost them until it happens.
But here's the irony. They may not know the facts and figures, but they know they're vulnerable. They feel it. If something does happen, they will have challenges far beyond the injury or illness itself, and they know it. That anxiety comes to work with them every day, and it's what drives so many of your good and loyal employees to look for, or accept, employment elsewhere.
So how do you address this anxiety? By giving them a raise of 10, 20 or 30 cents an hour? That's not going to fundamentally change anything (except for your bank account). But what if I told you there was coverage that only you, as a business owner, can offer? That it costs little, pays cash straight to them and, in most cases, it can cover their families too? Depending on group size and enrollment, it's guaranteed issue with no health questions and no exams. This means that even your most vulnerable employees can get this coverage. A 64-year-old with a history of heart disease qualifies as easily as a healthy 24-year-old.
There's a more effective way to attract and keep your team than a slightly higher salary.
This is it.
Your employees can't just go out and buy these policies on their own. They're group policies, and "group" doesn't mean a big company. It simply means the coverage is offered through your business and paid through payroll. Whether you have a handful of employees or a few hundred, your business is the door.
And you decide how wide to open it. You choose which policies to offer, and whether you pay for all of it, some of it, or none of it. Even when your employees pay their own premiums, simply having access to this coverage is a benefit they couldn't get on their own.
